Parks are Great this time of year, not the amusement parks yet they will be better in June, July or August when school is out if you are a parent or a student.
I am speaking about the public parks the weather is great now for out- of- door activities walking, running, board games as well as volleyball or other ballgames, reading, boating, listen to music (while laying on a blanket), or just talking about nothing of importance.
Taken the kids, pets and that special person in your life, on a day outing can do wonders for you and them. I am certain you are aware of this but sometimes we have to be reminded, that taken a break in daily routines are not a bad thing. To wake up in the morning or after breakfast and say ” let’s get out of here for awhile“, may bring on a shock factor in others around you, even get asked “are you feeling O.K.” Do not let this stop you from your Mission, you should have been more Adventurous before now. But do not fear” better late than never”.
Now to make it more of a together moment, let’s tell them we will be taken something for the outing. This may take some doing but you have gotten this far so forge ahead. If you do not want to do any cooking, check to see what you have on hand and everyone can take what they like. This is not the time for complaining about everyone’s choice, if it’s junk food ,let the next day fix it. You do not want to start your trip with tension.
But if they do want to cook-out let everyone help pick out what to cook. This could get tricky. They are going to agree to help with this meal while you are at home. Watch out this could be a set up or they may very well help. ;-) Just be strong and be prepared. If they do help out, it may not be the way you want it to be done, it’s One Day it will not Kill You ( I hope :-/ ).
Remember the sun screen, bug spray (or not), blankets, cooking supplies, and do not forget the game or the other items you may need, this does not have to take long it’s only for a short while.
Now get out there and Enjoy the Day. You do not have to do this again, but do try it out and let us know how it went we all Love Drama, as long as it’s not Our’s.
